25 Years of Fear!

THE INDOOR HAUNTED HOUSE IS OPEN RAIN OR SHINE

(as long as it's deemed safe by officials)

Walk through the all new House of Shock as if you never seen it before! Thrill to the 3D insanity of LAFF IN THE DARK, which has more scares per square foot than any other haunted house of its kind... and new for 2017: The House of Wax!
We still have great food, a full service bar and plenty of logo merchandise!

The New Orleans-based House of Shock Haunted House and Halloween Festival is back celebrating its 25th season with a brand-new event! THE HOUSE OF WAX a tribute to Museé Conti! This brand new event focuses on Louisiana's own dark and macabre past! Learn about Mad Madame Lalaurie, The Myrtles and The Honey Island Swamp Monster to name a few! We also pay a special tribute to New Orleans' own infamous mad scientist Morgus the Magnificent! The House of Wax stays true to our New Orleans roots... And everyone knows that wax museums are creepy by nature! The fact that The House of Shock is putting their twist to it, makes it over the top!

ALSO... Back by popular demand, our incredible 3D funhouse Laff in the Dark, an all-out 3D clown assault: A nod to old school fun houses, specifically the Pontchartrain Beach Fun House of the same name. Clown-a-phobiacs beware, as Laff in the Dark has more scares per square foot than any other event of its kind.

And The House of Shock's main attraction has been totally renovated in 2016 with many new surprises added - all new this year!

As always, the importance of incorporating New Orleans' own dark history into the fabric of their event is continued. This may be best represented by the immense entrance constructed to pay homage to the infamous LeBeau Mansion – the Old Arabi plantation home that burnt to the ground in 2013.

In addition to the new wax museum, some old fan-favorites of the unique event have received extreme makeovers. The pyrotechnics show will be back with more firepower than ever.

The updated theatrical stage production will take place twice a night at approximately 7:45 pm & 10:15 pm.

The annual outdoor Haloween Festival offers live music every night with a full service bar and an extensive menu of concessions available at Hell's Kitchen.

Warning! Event may be too intense for young children and is not recommended for children under the age of 12
